Introduction to 3D Visualisation and Simulation Model the Play of Life
Saturday 27th February 10am CET (Rome Time)

The Play of Life, a practical tool-model to Enhance Insight and Fast-Track Behavioural Modification.
In a nutshell, the 3DVSM, “Play of Life”, expands verbal communication (therapy) that is a cortical process subject to Cognitive Bias (Defence Mechanisms) by accessing the Limbic system through the use of small figures and specific protocols that stimulate memory and emotions through non-verbal, tridimensional process.

Program:
1. The 3DVSM, the Play of Life is based on Classical and Rojas-Bermudez Psychodrama developed by Dr Carlos Raimundo from which he received the ASGPP Innovators Award 2002.
In a nutshell, it expands verbal communication (therapy) that is a cortical process subject to Cognitive Bias (Defence Mechanisms) by accessing the Limbic system through the use of small figures and specific protocols that stimulate memory and emotions through a non-verbal, tridimensional process.
Verbal communication-therapy is a top-down process where the rational brain seeks information from subcortical areas the Limbic systems emotions and memory and the Brain Stem, for physical information. The rational brain often blocks that information, without the person knowing, due to emotional and physical pain, trauma, fear of failure, guilt, shame etc, and creates a “sense of knowing”, a sense of certainty also called cognitive biases that are taken as true and support their emotional rational belief.
Throughout the guided process of using the Play of Life the Mirror Motor Neuron is activated as well as other subcortical areas, Limbic and brainstem, accessing information otherwise blocked or disguised by the Frontal Lobe. The 3D, visual information ‘informs’ the rational brain as a “bottom-up” communicational process enhancing and fast-tracking “insight”, awareness of own emotions and actions and the effect on others and awareness of the other emotions and actions. The process of Simulation enhances behavioural change.
The method can be used as a stand-alone, or as an adjunct to any type of verbal or experiential approaches. It has been used in Individual, family and group settings. In Psychotherapy, Counselling, Coaching and Supervision in personal and business corporate settings. Some techniques can also be used “in-between” sessions to enhance insights learnt in the session, prepare or war-up to the next session and as a Personalised Companion to deal with certain emotional or relational issues in between session.

Purpose of the webinar:
To Introduce the model to participants and have time for questions and applications.

Articulation of the webinar:
The webinar will show the use of the method in a practical scenario. The Play of Life, a practical tool-model to Enhance Insight and Fast-Track Behavioural Modification.

Authors and Speakers:

Dr. Carlos A Raimundo, has studies in medicine, surgery, psychotherapy, psychiatry in Argentina, theology in the USA, communities in Europe & USA and management & leadership in Australia. Carlos is the author of Relationship Capital (Prentice Hall, 2002) and the creator of the 3d Visualisation and Simulation Model also known as Play of Life®, which has revolutionised individual and team behavioural transformation and for which he received the Innovation Award by the ASGPP in New York 2002. The captivating simplicity of his methodology facilitates change in people’s lives in an alive, sharp and useful manner by bypassing the neo-cortex and directly connecting with the limbic system; the part of the brain that deals with emotions, memory and sustainable behavioural change. Carlos and his methods are as much at home coaching the General Secretary of the OEA in strategic management as they with coaching Kiribati indigenous elders in the south Pacific.
Carlos is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture at Charles Sturt University.
