Why Webinars?

IAGP has taken its innovative educational programmes to many parts of the world - most recently in Georgia. We are now pleased to use the power of the Internet to extend our reach further, bringing IAGP’s educational opportunities to anyone with an internet connection, anywhere in the world. In future we plan to prioritise webinars for IAGP members and we strongly recommend that everyone join IAGP . However, our first pilot Webinar Weekend is open to anyone with a professional interest in groups.

Our Pilot Webinar Weekend: 8th and 9th June, 2019

IAGP is pleased to welcome you to Webinar Weekend - a special weekend focus on psychodrama and group-analysis with Dr. Marcia Almeida Batista and Dr Earl Hopper. First they will present and introduce some concepts about research methodologies with a sociodramatic working; basic assumptions, theory and concepts of the social unconscious as it is relevant to clinical work in groups. Then an interactive dialogue and live discussion about their topics finding connections with clinical work and research. On Saturday 8th June from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Swiss time, Dr. Marcia Almeida Batista from Brazil will give a Webinar on Replotting - A Psychodramatic Methodology. The following day, 9th June from 5 pm to 6:30 p.m. , Dr. Earl Hopper, Group Analyst, will lead a webinar on The Clinical Realities of the Appreciation of the Importance of the Social Context of Groups and Persons in Group Analysis. Join IAGP now at http://www.iagp.com/membership , and you will be able to watch a recording of the webinar and take part in the 10 day online discussion following the webinar. NB: Future webinars will take place at different times and in different languages, to accommodate our members in different countries and time zones

1. Who can take part?

Our pilot Webinar weekend is open to anyone with a professional interest in groups.

2. How are the Webinars run?

Our webinars use the Zoom software and can be easily accessed using almost any smartphone or computer web browser. Instructions will be sent to participants.Webinars begin with a presentation (30-45 min). There will then be a 15 minute break, during which the audience may send questions. We will make a selection of questions and invite the senders to ask the presenter in the second part of the webinar. 24 hours after the webinar, the recordings will be placed online in a password-protected area. IAGP members and those who attended the webinar will be able to watch the video and take part in a 10 day follow-up discussion.
